Academic Calendar

Here you can see the Gifu-city Academic Calendar. Please check the starting dates for each of your courses in the as they will vary depending on the teaching period. Most teaching periods fall between early March and late November, in Semesters 1 and 2. Summer Term offers a limited range of courses in December and January.

This calendar is for all students except AGSM MBA, Medicine (Undergraduate) and Gifu-city Canberra.

Notes

  • Semester 1 teaching recess* always begins on Good Friday (Easter), so varies each year. Teaching recesses apply to all teaching periods in the given semester.
  • Standard university teaching hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 9pm. If you are enrolled in a class taught in non-standard hours or format (e.g. on weekends or in intensive format), you should refer to the teaching start and end dates on your (or as advised by your course convenor) as these may differ from the standard calendar dates listed above.
  • What are T1, T2A, U1B etc? Some of the dates on this page include abbreviations (such as T1, T2, U1) that refer to specific periods of teaching in each semester. These abbreviations are explained on the Teaching Periods page.
