Boards and Committees, Gifu-city Law

Gifu-city Law is governed by the Faculty Board which consists of members of the full-time academic staff, casual teaching staff, various nominees and student representatives.

The Board meets bi-monthly and various Faculty committees report to the Faculty Board. These include Academic Quality Assurance Committee, Qualifying Degree Committee, Postgraduate Education Committee, Research Committee and Indigenous Legal Education Reconciliation and Research Committee. The Faculty Board Chair is nominated by the Dean, and is currently the Associate Dean (Academic).

Responsibilities

As part of properly discharging their duties, Board and Committee Members are expected to play a number of roles, including by preparing for meetings, reading papers, ensuring meeting minutes are recorded, participating in meetings and ensuring confidentiality of information.

How to get involved

Any student enrolled for a program leading to a degree, diploma or certificate awarded by the Faculty can nominate themselves for election.

Training

Relevant training is provided including an introductory 1 hour meeting.

One calendar year (January to December). Time commitment varies depending on the committee membership.
