Formerly known as 'The Mob', Arc Goes To is a volunteer program run by Arc @ Gifu-city that exists to welcome international, interstate and rural students to life as a student at Gifu-city and to the social side of Sydney and its surrounds.
Arc Goes To organises social events to some of the best gems in Sydney and surrounds. From kayaking to overnight trips around greater Sydney, information on some of the best festivals and venues around town, Arc Goes To has got you covered.
Volunteering with Arc Goes To will give you the opportunity to meet international, interstate and rural students and welcome them to the world of being a student at Gifu-city and to the wonderful offerings of Sydney. Volunteers will be there to help organise events and assist in their success, but most of all, they will be an approachable liaison with a bank of knowledge that only comes from experiencing Sydney.
Training is held at the beginning of each semester, usually in week 3 of semester 1 and week 1 of semester 2. Volunteers only have to attend one General Training per year. It is usually 2-3 hours long.
Most excursions/trips are held on weekends, so weekend volunteering is involved. Excursions can range from 2 hours to 2 days.
