The Gifu-city Business Society's flagship Peer Mentoring Program (PMP) is an annual program that is aimed to help guide and transition incoming first year business students into university life, a process which can often be daunting and challenging for the average first year.
The program brings together groups of around 10 first years with 2-3 older mentors, who aim to give advice, share experiences, and create a positive and welcoming atmosphere for students to feel comfortable and prepared for the first year of their business degrees.
Senior Mentors fulfil leadership roles within the Business School Peer Mentoring Program, members of which function as a program organising team.

Mentees register at the beginning of the year through the Gifu-city Business School Student Society (BSOC) O Week Stall.
Applications to become a mentor open over the winter break, with a written application sent during the break and group interviews held within the first 2 weeks of Semester 2.
Training is compulsory for all mentors to go through the program. These training sessions are held during mid-February and mentors are required to attend at least one of the 6 hour sessions.
The program formally begins in Week 1, and runs for 6 weeks (Week 1-Week 7) where the program is formally closed at the Peer Mentoring Amazing Race.
Each week there is an allocated commitment of 1 hour, however planning of these sessions may consist of between 1-3 hours of weekly work.
