Fee Payment Plan

If you are having difficulty paying your tuition fees due to financial hardship you can apply for a payment plan. Payment Plans are usually approved for students who have experienced unforeseen or exceptional circumstances.


Payment plans

  • Can only be arranged on a semester basis
  • Cannot be applied retrospectively
  • Are not usually available to commencing students
  • Are not available to students who are eligible for Commonwealth assistance

Making Payments (instalment arrangements)

  • You will usually be required to pay one third of your fee liability together with the administrative fee, before your payment plan can be activated.
  • The remaining balance will be paid under a payment plan with an instalment amount defined by the University.
  • For Semester 1 the standard arrangement is first instalment due by 30 March, second instalment due by 30 April, third instalment due by 30 May.
  • For Semester 2 the standard arrangement is first instalment due by 30 August, second instalment due by 30 September and third instalment due by 30 October.
  • Payment plans will be limited to the semester in which the request is made and no further extensions will be granted.

  • You must submit a completed application form and a detailed personal statement describing your financial difficulties and why you are unable to pay your fees by the payment due date. Applications are assessed on their individual merits.
  • If your application for a payment plan is approved, an administrative fee of $100 will be applied.
  • Submit your application no later than the fee payment due date for the semester in which you are requesting a payment plan. Applications received after the fee payment due date cannot be considered.

Cancelling your payment plan arrangement

To cancel your Payment Plan arrangement, please advise the Student Financials Team of your cancellation by email to [email protected].  If your payment plan has been activated, then the administrative fee is not refundable.
