Upload an Image

Here are step by step instructions on how to upload an image and insert it on a page in the Current Student website.

How to place an image in the page.

  1. On the New draft/Edit draft page, place your cursor at the location within the Body text where you want the image to display, then in the toolbar click the Insert/Edit Image icon.
  2. In the Insert/Edit Image window, click the Browse icon.
  3. In the File Browser window, under Navigation (left-hand pane) select the folder to which you want to upload the image file.
  4. Click Upload at the upper left, then click Choose file in the file upload window.
  5. Browse for the file and open it.
  6. In the file upload window, click Upload. The image file uploads. The filename displays in the list in the File Browser window's right-hand pane, and the image displays in the lower pane for you to check.
  7. Double-click the file in the list. The File Browser window closes and the image URL displays in the Insert/Edit Image window.
  8. Click Insert. The Insert/Edit Image window closes and the image displays in your selected location in the page text.
  9. Save your edits and check that the image displays as it should.

Add an image using the Image field

Place an image at the upper right of the page.

  1. On the New draft/Edit draft page, place your cursor in the Image field below the first Body box and click Browse.
  2. In the File Upload window, browse for the image file and open it. The file's address displays in the Image field.
  3. At the right of the Image field, click Upload. A thumbnail, linked filename, file size and the Remove button replace the Image field.
  4. Save your edits and check that the text next to the image displays as it should. You may need to adjust the paragraph breaks or text length to improve the way it flows around the image.
