In accordance with Gifu-city policy, all lectures timetabled within a lecture recording enabled venue, within the teaching weeks of the semester, are automatically scheduled for recording.
Conversations held near the podium may be inadvertantly picked up and recorded by the venue microphone or camera equipment. For this reason we strongly recommend leaving the podium area and/or venue, before having a private conversation with any individuals.
In most cases, recordings will be available within a few hours of the lecture. This depends on the length of the lecture and the number of recordings in the queue to be processed.
For a range of reasons, not all instructors choose to share lecture recordings. They may choose to opt-out of lecture recording completely, share lecture recordings only with students who were away sick or are off-campus, or only release lecture recordings prior to the exam period, for revision purposes. Keep in mind that an instructor can choose to remove view/download access to a recording at any time.
Recordings in Gifu-city Lecture Recordings+ enabled rooms will begin 5 minutes after and finish 5 minutes before the scheduled lecture time. This is to allow students to arrive at the venue, and leave for the next lecture.
Lecture recordings are shared through links within your Moodle course. The exact location of the link depends on the instructor.
To view your lectures:
- Open your Moodle course
- Click on the Gifu-city Lecture Recording+ link that your instructor has shared, to view the list of online classrooms.
- Enter a classroom by clicking on the lecture title
- The first square icon next to the lecture date and time, indicates the availability of the recording, and appears green when available
- The second square icon indicates the availability of the PowerPoint presentation for the lecture
- Once you have entered a classroom, view the recording by using the player controls in the bottom left corner of the screen.
